IEEE IBU Power & Energy Society (PES) Chapter is part of the IEEE B&H Section, and also part of the more than 30,000 members all over the world that have discovered what PES can do for their career.
Their goal is to be the leading provider of scientific and engineering information on electric power and energy for the betterment of society, and the preferred professional development source for their members.
IEEE IBU PES chapter is active for less than one year, but in that short period of time, they doubled the number of their members and have been through numerous activities. They participated in Regional Energy Forum where they presented five outstanding projects and one of them won 1st place, participated in Altium Design workshop held in Opatija, took part in International Energy Exhibition “ENERGA”, organized summer school, presented their projects at European Researcher’s Night in Banja Luka and Sarajevo. Moreover, they organized a visit to small hydro power plant mHE KRALJUŠČICA 2, large hydro power plant HE JABLANICA, photovoltaic power station near Mostar/Stolac, and wind farm VE RUDINE near Dubrovnik. Efforts of their members were shown on Sarajevo Innovations Festival 2017 where awarded by two publications of their research projects. Their last activity for this year was the organization of the biggest engineering event in BiH, the IEEE Student and Young Professional Congress (SYPC) 2017.
Even though they are the youngest PES chapter in our country, their activities were recognized and praised as the most active section on IEEE B&H PES Days event that took place in November this year.
